Reckon it boils down to market share! Whilst detailing in SA has grown leaps and bounds, we still dont have the kind of interest that the 'overseas' markets enjoy....
Look what happened to the SEAT brand here?!

Pardon my ignorance..
Dodo juice? The SEAT brand is a fantastic brand but VW did not give it the respect it deserved in SA.

I had discussions with Dom from Dodo Juice as early back as Feb last year about making the Dodo range available here.
In order to enter the market at a reasonable price point you need to buy the waxes in bulk (6 to 18 x 250ml tubs). Dodo has 8 different waxes (4 soft & 4 hard) excluding Supernatural which means a shipment of 144 tubs of 'premium' car wax
Granted one could order in a single box of hard and soft wax and still keep the prices reasonable (+-R450 per 250ml tub), but will they all sell?
The other option that was available was a mixed order. This would allow for a combined order (1's and 2's) of different products, whilst still qualifying for the distributor discounts. Only drawback was that it was limited to the 1st order after which the regular MOQ's (6 or 18 tubs) would apply.
If there is enough interest then sure, I can chat to Dom again and have a consignment sent over...At the end of the day it is the customers who dictate what will and won't become available here

I would love to try out some of this, but as you say, the economics of it all make it difficult. Is it that different to what we currently have on offer Dave, besides the funky packaging etc??? If it fills a gap, cool, I am keen to try it.

How about using what we already have in our detailing arsenal rather than searching for the holy grail?

That's why we buy all the accessories - wash mitts, dusters, pads, etc.
