I completed this detail on a 07 BMW 120i Sport on Monday!! It was a difficult detail as the cars paintwork was in really bad shape!!! Plenty of contamination and scratches all over the car!!! It took a long time to repair but i think the owner was pretty happy with the outcome at the end of it!!!

Recieved the car in the rain on Mon morns so before pics arent great!!!

As normal i started off with the wheels and arches!!! Sonax applied!!

Because the contamination on the paintwork was so bad i soaked the car in a stronf solution of APC!!

This is the kind of contamination i am talking about!!!

While the paintwork was soaking i cleaned in between the badges and panal gaps!!

Contamination FTL......

I then moved the car under the carport and clayed it, this took ages, close to 4 hours on a small 3 door!!! :smtp23 Once that was done i put the lights on to inspect the damage!!! There was plenty of issues, lots of swirls and RIDs, some of them very deep!!!

Correction completed using a combination of pads with CG No.3 on this tough paintwork. Once that was done i applied a layer on AG SRP using a White polishing pad and buffed it off using a black finishing pad!!! This was a really difficult step and i struggled to fully remove all the scrathes with my little DA.... Plthumbsdown Decent results though???

I then moved it out and gave it a final wash and dry!!!

I then moved it back undercover and applied a layer on Sonax Paste Wax as well as a layer of Megs Cleaner Wax to the wheels. While that was drying i cleaned up the exhaust and sorted the trimmings!!! Sonax was then buffed off by hand!!!

Finally some pics once all of it was done!!!

Thanks for having a look guys!!! :smtp25 :smtp25 Some post detail pics at a decent location to follow shortly!!! Clap
Another great detail Wayno Thumb

BMW whites are very often hard as nails which may explain your difficulties on the correction front. CG's #3 is also not the greatest compound when it comes to removing more serious defects from harder paints. Nice work nonetheless!
Nice work. What happened to the drivers side wheel arch. Go rubbing into a wall?
Great work Wayno and love the signature.
Good job... Clap

Howdy Guys,

So this BM is owned by a mate of mine, so naturally I felt inclined to take it for a shoot after its detail. We're both very impressed with Wayne's work.
