Wavey Hi guys Wavey

I came across your forum by chance or by passion, in search of Google detailing training Google in South Africa.

My only disappointment Nono is that I am very far from you Iono in a small island that you'll love - Mauritius.

I am a teacher here but a beginner as far as detailing is concerned, rather struggling to learn this art as there is almost nothing here. But I learned a lot of things on the online forums.

I tried the rotary thrice but not with the results you get Hammerhead. I have much to learn and practice. Also done some interiors which turned quite nice but as there's a lot to improve. I hope you to benefit from your tips and techniques.Thumb

Thank you in advance guys Thumb

Cheers

Thanks for the reply guys Wavey

Yes, I’m the first one on Waxon but not the last I’m sure. Bluebiggrin

Detailing is relatively unknown here, only car wash and valeting businesses being popular. As such professional detailing products are very few. A small selection of the Megs consumer line is available but they’re overpriced. Better off buying thems from the Net. Abel Auto compounds and polishes are used by body shops.

I’ve tried Farecla G3 and Megs M80 on a scrap hood with a rotary, but the end results haven’t quite as expected, swirls still apparent thiugh other defects were removed or reduced.

May be pads used lacked cutting, my technique (speed & pressure)being incorrect or polish not worked enough or too much.

Forgot to tell you guys the rotary is a Clarke CP180 (5 kg) Iono it’s a long story, i’ll tell you later.

I look forward to hear from you.

Many thanks Thumb
