I managed to try out some products I recently purchased from David this weekend.

First being the Collinite 845 wax and second being the Extreme black Tyre dressing.

My method was fairly simple.

1. Wash down using 2 bucket method using APC and Megs wash and wax
2. Wipe down and left to dry.
3. Apply dressing to all black trim.
4. Apply Collinite to entire body including glass (except the windscreen I used Meg M26 for this) and left for 40 mins
5. Microfibre wipe to remove residue

A little goes a very long way when using the collinite. Once I had primed the applicator pad I found 2 pea sized drops would cover a panel easily I even had enough on the pad to apply to all the rims afterwards.

The Collinite left the body very slick and the white more "wet" than I have ever seen it.
The Extreme black also went on very easily I think I applied a little to much but there was no slinging onto the body work at all...

Bearing in mind that I have not done a correction step yet I was very pleased with the results.

Nicely done indeed.
845 was one of my first purchases as well and is still one of my favorites. After leaving it for 40 min, how did the buffing process go? Did it come off fairly easily?

Thanks Torres... comes off very easily. No hard work at all. I got home last night and did a second coat it just wiped off really after 30 mins.

I have a question though.... If I purchase a sealant such as the Menzerna powerlock... Could I use the Collinite as a wax over the sealant... Is it suitable for this application?

I can't see why you couldn't use 845 over a sealant like Menz. The wax is another protective layer

I hardly reach for the 915 these days, 845 FTW.

The general rule of thumb is wax over sealant - i'm curious to know/see what results layering of the 2 will give you

I'm holding off on purchasing/applying sealant until I can do a decent machine driven correction step... Saving up for the flex at the moment

Collinite on glass .... ?

Excellent results! Some very nice reflections there.

Yeah thought I would give it a bash. But its a no go for the windscreen. I used to use the C-thru product but am concerned about the long term effects of that stuff on the rubbers around the glass.
