Thinking as per above, what's the deal with guys driv:thumb:ing around with polish all over the car, not yet buffed off? Reason I'm asking is cause just today only I've seen three cars like this today. Ok I know we all started somewhere with "detailing"....but yeah...what gives? Just thought it would be interesting to hear your guys thoughts on it? Lol and also who's done it before? Don't be shy guys!Thumb
I've only ever seen minibus taxi's driving around like that and didn't bother to figure that out because there's no logic involved when it concerns minibus taxi's or their drivers.
100% agreed
Well, maybe they needed to pick something up quickly...
It stems from the notion that the longer you leave the polish on the paint, the better it will look afterwards...I cringe at the thought of what the paint will look like after buffing off the polish/dust residue Hammerhead
Maybe the wax and road grit polish the surface better (the scratches would make for an 'intresting' finish) when the wax is eventualy removed
Lol yeah guys...I mean surely dust and grime must be setlling onto the polish/wax and buffing it off then....ouch!! More harm than good.
There is a 200sx close to where I live thats had a thick coat of wax layed on the car for about 2 weeks with no removal. Just lots of hand marks around the doors at its still used every day.
Maybe it is to cover up the scratch marks from previous botched polishing attempts !
Keep a hammer and chisel handy to get the stuff off after baking in the sun all day! Lol
