Hi again
This is a Toyota Vitz, pretty bad in shape. My uncle had it for sale. I tried to give her some facelift.
I started with the interior. Usual vac, local mpc and some small brushes, mf… It turned out quite nice, just lacking the fragrance of a new ride. Sorry no pics coz the car’s already sold.
Once interior completed, I moved to the outside. The car had many scratches, tons of swirls, some RIDS that spanned over the whole sides.
I had to do everything bit by bit, as and when I was free and when my 2-year kid wasn’t lurking around.
The pics will tell the story better.
The car was sent to the bodyshop for a respray of these areas.
Overspray??
This I wasn’t able to correct. Wetsanding only deepened it. Filler became visible. Old age wrinkles, needing plastic surgery. I'm not at that level
Some of the panels were wetsanded (2000 grit) to remove deep RDS and scratches
The car was did section wise. So no pics of washing.
Claying:
A shocker for a small car
So much contaminants for small sections
Worked with:
• Makita rotary
• LC CCS orange 4” pad
• Menz PG, lubed with Megs 80
Some Polishing pics :buffer:
plz tell me if this is good or not? and whether the 6.5' pad is better to work with rotary?
Here are the end results. Not completely swirl free, it needs refining but this is hardly noticeable. The buyer was happy too. The one in the car is my assistant though.
