Only a couple more sleeps before 2008 comes to a close and we usher in a new year. There is no doubt that 2008 was an eventful year from various fronts (domestic / Zim / US politics, domestic and global financial markets, electricity supply).

Seeing that this is an auto detailing forum, lets zero in on matters detailing. The domestic detailing arena was no different in 2008. Where we were once starved Rofl for options, we now have multiple brands / forums / products / tools to cater for our needs. I certainly didn't expect the detailing year to unravel in this manner. To that end, a big shup Thumbsup2 to the guys and gals that introduced variety in 2008.

If 2008 was anything to go by, I am expecting great developments in the new year.

Where to in 2009? What are Waxon members looking forward to in the new year? Will we see new players and brands or will there be consolidation on the domestic market?
2009 is hopefully going to be a big year for me. Big one will to be to finish my degree. Then also I would like to build up a complete detailing kit for myself, including a machine and then give my car a proper full detail.

Also going to try and educated people the difference between washing a car and polish it with shield and real detailing. Do not know how yet but the world need to open there eyes.

Also in 2009 I would like to do a few nice mountain bike events and not kill myself.
Oooh... me... ummmm hell I put quite a kit together in the last few months... Flex, menzerna, CG stuff, petes, jet seal... Ah, I need rim wax and I wanna get more into interior detailing, maybe get me one of those carpet machine things
Not too much on my wish list. I think I've got all the must haves now. I just wish for more times and pretty cars to used my equipment on.
Less Southeaster so I can play outside more.Bluebiggrin

Heard only good things about their products. From past conversations with JL and Pirex (Ketil is his proper name and he runs a detailing shop/business out in Norway) their polishes are highly rated as well as their pads.

To quote Ketil from one of my pm's to him regarding the Scholl stuff back in September

Oh nice! I have had a Audi coupe Quattro, Audi S6 V8 Quattro, Audi A8 Quattro and a Audi Allroad quattro. Loved them all!!

A new S3 would be great, but GTI aint bad at all. How is the car prices down there? The new schirocco is going to be AWSOME!

I have the sonus pads in my webshop to. Also Scholl pads, really good. You should try scholl polishes, very good on german cars! I have some 3M pads, not bad at all!!

No problem shipping to South africa. Just let me know if you see any thing, and I can give you price in USD.

Thanks,

Ketil"

I'll send him a pm, he would be another awesome intl member to have on board...He has lots of experience with both Scholl and Swissvax products Wink
