Hi guys,

Detailed a Silver Toyota Corolla on Sunday Morning.I had the car at home so i got up early and Started at about 6 and finished at 14:30 .Silver doesnt really show how well a car can look and How much Gloss and Dept can be achieved on paintwork, especially for the amount of time spent on it.
Atleast Toyota paint is soft. Not that hard to remove swirls and scratches.
The car wasnt that dirty when i got it.Im sure it got washed the saturday or so. But no shortcuts were taken so i had to rewash the car.

Ok, the process that i followed was as follows:

1. Wheels were first treated with Sonax Extreme wheel cleaner. Rinsed with water and continued with a solution of
Meguiars Deep crystal wash and water.
2. Car washed with Meguiars Nxt Shampoo (2 Bucket wash system to reduce swirling).Used Meguiars Last touch detailer as a
drying agent.
3. Clayed with Chemical Guys Medium Clay Bar and Meguiars Last Touch as Lubricant.
4. Washed with Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss shampoo and again Used Meguiars Last Touch as drying aid. Created a good gloss.i love this shampoo.Dilution ratios are brilliant and Foaming abilities are pretty awesome.

5. Swirls and scratches treated as follows:
5.2. Shield orbital and laser buff... Results were noticed but it took too long and so i bumped up to Chemical guys
Diamond Cut Compound. Difficult areas were treated with a Meg's Gold class microfibre applicator and some Meguiars M105 that i got from Siya a few weeks ago. This is a brilliant product and i might be using this as my compounding choice.
6.Lights Treated with Meguiars Plast X.

7. Waxed with NXT Tech wax - 2 Hours Curing time.
8. Topped off with Chemical guys 3 X Carnuaba paste Wax. (Best of both worlds). Compliments of Naushad From Chemical guys.
I actually find this product to be quite well.

9. Wheels Waxed with Smartwax Rim Wax and Rubber treated with Endurance Tyre Gel.
10. Trim Treated with Gold Class Trim Detailer.
11.Windows Treated with Chemical Guys Window Cleaner.
12. Finally Finished with Last touch again.

Sorry about the bad quality of pics.

Thanx For looking - Fuwaad
considering the silver car and all, I can see a huge improvement from the before pics to the afters. Well done!
Thanx Don!!!
Chemical guys are realy holding up well on there products. Great stuff.
You were right as well Don, The citrus wash an gloss is Amazing stuff. Never seen so much foam with so little product.A tablespoon in a 15litre bucket of water. Amazing
Ill say it again... Super impressive with what u achieve with that Shield Orbital bud!!! Bluebiggrin
Can't wait for my Wash to run out so that I can pick up some of that CG wash & gloss - a little sure does go a long way!
I know silver, its not fun but you did a good job.
As a matter of interest, why are you using Medium clay?
Nice work, keep it up Wink
Nice work.... I still gotta remove the swirls on one of our silver cars.... NOT looking forward to it (German paint)...

Mike
Nice work ! Car looks great, keep up the great work.
thanx Guys,

@Calypso, i only had th medium grade of clay, didnt really have a fine bar that i could use. I just make sure to use alot of lubricant so that i do not inflict some marring on the paintwork.
Lube will only help to a certain point, after that the marring is purely a function of the more aggresive clay Wink
