Liqui-Moly

Thanks Rory

I ask because I noticed the bumpers on the Ford bakkies we have went a bit patchy after about 2 weeks... yet the opel corsa plastic is still a deep shine.

My technician in Germany may have an answer for it. Perhaps there is something about Ford bumpers that isn't likeable.

Mike
Ok, I got the Black WOW in the mail today (thanks Alexi) and will hopefully have some other 'competitors' to the crown soon. Mike I will drop you a pm with the address but in all likelyhood I will only get this off the ground in around 2 weeks time so you have time Wink

The hopefulls I have at present include

303 Aerospace
Black WOW
Sonax Trim Detailer
Werkstat Satin Prot
Meguiars NXT Tech Protectant
Mothers Back to Black
Poor Boys Trim Restorer

I am wanting to include the following if someone is willing to pony up some samples Bluebiggrin

CG's ?
Meguiars Gold Class ?
Any other takers I may have neglected to mention ?
Adams VRT....

i'll supply the sample David!

Does Naushad not have some, I might be seeing him Friday to collect some shampoo and the buckets if they the right ones ?

Speaking of which, have you gotten yours yet, I am keen to see what they look like?
Nah, I'm going to collect them from the courier today. And yes, Naush will have that new car dressing.
Pics of the buckets please Bluebiggrin
Damn thats rough, Ive seen some nasty pics of what eggs can do to paint, but I have never had to deal with it first hand. If you have some impact marks in the clear, I would presume cleaning it nicely with the clay, and work on some abrasive polishes to round out the marks.

P.S. You might have better luck moving this to the detail school section.
Sheesh Rory, that sucks eggs (excuse the pun Rofl )

You going to have to try claying if there are embedded fragments (I doubt it), otherwise a polish to see if some of those marks can be removed. Never seen an egg impact zone up close personally so I am not sure exactly what has happened to the paint Wink
Oh man, this is not cool at all!
I must not post late at night. I cant even understand what I wrote.
It looks like something a bit of polish could fix. Those "whitish" bits seems like tiny chips out of the paint though.
Stumbled across these pics of some egg damage correction on an intl forum:

Process involved wet sanding with P2000 and P4000 water paper, followed by SIP on a spot pad. Not perfect but a huge improvement Thumb

Full thread is here if you'd like to read it Wink
People who do that deserve to be tied up and have extremely rotten eggs thrown at them and then left in the sun all day!
Then... paint them with honey and let the ant's eat it!!!
So I got a new car, so goodbye to the old problems and hello to some new ones...
Bonnet has lots of scratches and what I'm pretty sure are holograms. Front bumper looks shocking. The rest seems ok.
Congrats on the new wheels Rory Thumb
Pics, pics, pics, pics, pics..................please.

Congrats on the new ride.
