So based on the 10 day estimate, Christmas Eve is a possibility. Any chance of DHL subcontracting to Santa for a Christmas Day delivery?
I'll be in PE from 19th to 26th December, so hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on one when I return. That way I get to play with some foam while I'm still on leave
Respect to you... Snow man!
Quick update...Lance's are in Jhb and sitting at customs. Client services rekon the turn around time is 24 to 48 hours at present so let's hope for the best. If all goes well I will have them by late Monday or Tuesday
Still in customs, hopefully they will be released later today or tomorrow. I will be sending out pm's to all those who pre-ordered later today to organise for shipping/delivery/collection
Oh Yeahhhhhhh!!!!!!!
Driving down to cape town on wednesday... hope i get to try it before then!
Whilst I was playing with the sample I noticed a small problem developing with the units
Being used in and around water it is inevitable that rust would creep in to all components that were of an untreated iron nature. As you can see below, the small cap screw holding the air mixture knob in place is of the plain steel variety and started showing signs of rust quite early on...
Being as anal as I am I contacted the manufacturer and enquired about upgrading these fasteners to either a chrome plated or stainless item but alas they were unwilling to look into it for the small QTY's I was ordering...
All is not lost however as I have taken the liberty of sourcing some replacement units in stainless steel for all of the units I will be supplying
Fastener removed
The replacement in stainless steel
Perfect fit
So, who says I don't go the extra mile for you guys
Dont get me started young man
make sure i can detail a Le Mans blue 335i next week
I cant call you a bolt, so I'll call you a nut.... dood.
Okidoki...Good news, the lance's have landed and have taken up position in my cabinet
Bad news?...Unfortunately these didn't work out quite as cheap as I would have liked them to
On the bright side however, they are at least still alot cheaper than purchasing directly from the UK or states!
Foam lance + Plastic fitting @ R620
Foam lance + HD fitting @ R685*
*
The HD units work out at around R65 more than the regular Karcher fittings (4 euro + vat & duty). I can't tell you why this is at the moment, but I will query with the supplier when they re-open in Jan
Those who have children to feed this Xmas need not stress...Some of you may recall I mentioned a Waxon member discount that would apply to all purchases once my online store was up and running. Well I guess now is as good a time as ever to set the ball in motion so you can all take 10% off the regular pricing above and consider it a Xmas present from Waxon**
Plastic Karcher fitting @ R560
HD fitting @ R615
**In future however I do need to mention that the forum discount will only apply to members with a post count of 100 or higher...Those who are below the threshold are encouraged to make a more active contribution to the community going forward (you can start with lots of foaming pics actually)
@ Rich, the 1st post has been updated with some pics of the HD fitting

CWG/CWC is 500:1 for maintenance and 65:1 for stripping LSP's. (1/4oz per gal for maintenance and 2oz per gal for stripping)
Maxi Suds im not sure on but iirc it is somewhere around 400:1
Any chance of stock still being available?
Bought myself a Karcher K2.900 and have recently stocked up on Chemical Guys Citrus Wash thinking the reason the "out of the box" detergent tank wasn't any good was due to the washing agent I was using. Clearly this is not the case after reading a few posts here.
Really need to get my hands on a foam lance/cannon/gun/... now

I haven't re-ordered stock in a while as I am waiting to sample some a similar product from a different manufacturer. If all goes well I will have stock in a little over 3 weeks.
Would you like me to drop you a mail when they arrive?
