Famous last words...Bluebiggrin

Yep - lest we forget -> http://www.waxon.co.za/showthread.php?tid=436 Rofl
The omnia was a great phone for the first week or so.... then all the problems started, eventually the touch screen didnt even touch anymore Sad

Ive actually had the E63 for a little over a month now, and it works.
I also toggle between an Omnia and an E75 .... prefer the E75 though ...
Confused1
Just got myself the new HTC Desire..what a phone and all that i can say is WOW! Its Android OS and it is so fluid. iphone 4 will have to be something special to top this. I see that Samsung have also launched the new galaxy Android which is also punching holes into the iphone.
Also have a desire. Farking awesome phone. Would take it over an iphone any day... Android 2.2/FroYo should be released for the desire soon then it will definitely top the iphone 4.
I upgraded to an n78 but after dropping it i had endless problems but R350 later its back to being a new phone with a worn out keypad
I'm still enjoying my Blackberry...And we have had a few converts along the way as well Bluebiggrin
Guys...save yourselves the trouble and get a blackberry...got mine recently after upgrading from another PDA and it is very nice
Hmm , thread from the dead. And Ive still got the old ass 8310. Least my car prediction was right.
Yep... Thread resurrected !!!

Got an iPhone 3G as personal phone and Blackberry Bold 9000 as "company phone" ... Packed the crapberry back in the box after one day of use ... Enjoying the iPhone ... Although I will admit that if I had to pay for a contract myself, I would choose the Blackberry package ... Blackberry Handset + Free email/Internet browsing ... Awesome!!!

I love my gadgets and have never come across the "Perfect Handset" ... Yet!!!
Pro's & Con's to all handsets ...
I have an HTC Touch Diamond, I hate it, it is soooo slooow and needs to be restarted twice a day, holding out for I-Phone 4!!!
Got the missus a BB and she absolutely loves it, won't go anywhere if she can't take it with her. The desire is super fast and once the upgrades arrive it will just add to what is already a superb phone. BB just ain't for me,nothing against it but just not for me.

Dude...ur HTC is faulty get it replaced/repaired as my buddy has a touch Diamond and his works fine...

@ Jughead - the blackberry internet access is awesome as I mostly access the forums/internet with little or no lag and i also enjoy receiving my e-mails on the go...this is by far my favourite handset (blackberry 9000)...like the iPhone but the size and styling is a deterent.
HTC was a bit rubbish in the days of windows mobile. Google basically bought and really made android, and then brought out the google phone aka the nexus one, made by HTC. HTC then added a bit more ram, replaced the capacitive buttons with real ones (people complained about these) and replaced the ball with a trackpad (same as BB are doing) to make the HTC desire hardware. On the OS side they added HTC Sense which is actually rather good, so good in fact that some people with the nexus one flash the firmware for the desire onto it as opposed to what google gives called "vanilla android".

The unlimited data of the BB is very tempting. I mainly wanted a phone for internet browsing though. Usually in the evenings when I would get out my laptop I just connect my phone to wifi and browse. The screen is 800x460 I think and also AMOLED so it looks brilliant. App wise pretty much all the apps on the apple store you'll find either the same app or a clone on the android market except they are mostly free and some have some google ads in them.

The biggest downside of the desire is the battery life. It has a 1ghz cpu, 576mb ram, 512mb rom and that screen, all killers of battery life. Basically you will have to charge it every night. Does charge via usb so you could plug it in a bit for a boost if you have a desk job etc. The chargers have the same port as BB so I have the charger for my gf's BB handsfree which she doesn't use in my car just in case.
Agree with you bout the battery life Rory, I am charging mine every other day.
Blackberry 8100 (I know boring, but they provided it at work and allowed me to keep it on retirement, (and they pay the bill) good phone)

Next will be an iPhone, maybe
Retired and they still pay for your phone? Now thats a great deal.
