VW Jetta VR6 - done by Vincent - Vincent - 03-08-2010 09:10 AM

Hi everyone,

I had a very busy weekend with cars and got to do this one during Sat evening. Got the car around 5pm and got work on it very quickly as the light in Cape Town is gone by 6pm in winter. So no time for before pics or even during pics as I did not want to keep the neighbours up too long with the noise of the machines etc. So this post will just have to do with all the morning after pics.

The process was basically... Menzerna SIP followed my Menz Final Finish... then Werkstat Prime, Werkstat Jett and a last once over with Werkstat Glos. I am so loving the Werkstat on the whites... Really does bring out the shine. Gave the wheels a Wax with Natty's Blue paste wax. Tyres got the Turtle Nano Tech Gel. Black trim got the Aerospace 303 treatment.

Pics taken at around 9am the morning on a crispy cool sunday in Cape Town.

My 3 yr old in the front seat... he thought this car was the coolest 'racing' car ever - ha ha ha.

Clearly something about this car really caught his fancy coz once he was in he refused to get out. He commented about every little thing on the car. The moment he saw the wing on the back he was convinced it was a racing car. I remember taking him for a spin in a Golf GTi that pushes out 210 kw and he spoke about it for days on end. Def a car lover this little one.

Awesome work as always Vincent! Clap

Pity you could not take before pics, as I am sure this was a huge transformation. Older cars seem to improve unbelievably with a little "attention" Bluebiggrin

Hi PaulVW, The car wasnt too bad... Had the usual Swirls and so on. I think also with age and old wax certain panels seemed different colours to others. But after a good intensive Polish the colour on the car looked even again. and WHITE. not off white or yellowish anymore.

Only a pleasure dude... Was really nice to work on such a good looking car.
Keep me in mind if you ever need a touch up on the sealant.
The Werkstat Sealant should last around the 6 month mark depending on factors such as environmental factors etc. Just keep an eye on the beading properties when you wash the car.

i'll be bringing my car to you every three months..... also i need to wash her now because of the shitty weather.. should i just hose her down, im tooo scared to wash her with my crappy stuff i have at home, will def spoil your hard work

There are some key points to washing the car without 'ruining' what is on the car now.
I will try to find you some links you can read about 'safe' washing techinques.
A good one to start with is

know of any good places that i can take my car to , to have it washed and dried the proper way??

i dont have the funds to go out and purchase all those products so i'm going to have to have her cleaned a bit for tonights escapades ;-)

any car wash you would recommend?
