WEEKEND CLEANUP - PrevanP - 13-12-2010 10:13 PM

In preparation for Sunday's BMW Fanatics breakfast run in Durban, on Saturday I decided to give my baby some pampering. Started of by cleaning wheels with Sonax extreme rim cleaner followed by a wash with Megs NXT shampoo and then clayed with Smartwax mild clay. Then I waxed with Megs NXT Tech Wax and followed with Megs Deep Crystal Carnuba wax. Trimmings were treated with Smart dressing (sample from Naush) and tailpipes plus kidneys got some blue be gone. I did not get any before pics but barely managed a few afters even though I was absolutely knackered afterwards. That night I discovered a whole new meaning to pain Bawling

Results were worth the pain because the paint work now feels silky smooth!! Clap Was hoping to give the wheels some blue be gone to bling up the high polished section and then seal with rim wax but not strong enough yet...hopefully next time. Icon9

Very nice, car looks dripping wet.

I really like that colour. Good work - car looks wet and glossy.

Wow looks great - like the guys have said, wet, wet, wet!

(get some Adams undercarriage spray) Thumb

Great job.

Not sure if the Megs DC Wax on top of the NXT Tech Wax is really necessary, but what the hell.

Thanks guys.

@Springbok, you probably right. I need to get a proper sealer / LSP to apply after waxing. Any recomendations - something that will be hand friendly....no machine as yet!

Car looks stunning bud, time well spent Thumb

If you're after a good LSP that will last, is affordable and can be applied by hand then I would suggest something from the Collinite range. The 915 is nice, but both 476 and 845 are also excellent budget alternatives Thumb

Thanks David. Can you PM some prices on the Collinite.
