Ultimate Shine - Hot Stuff Racing Honda - Vincent - 09-05-2011 03:01 PM

Not very often i get to do a Ladies car and Sunday was the day to do one very very nicely done Honda.

Steps taken was

1. Wash with Meguiars Hyper Wash mixed with APC to remove old Sealant and or Wax.
2. Wheels got APC and Daytona Speed master Wheel brush
3. Dry off with Chemical guys Miracle Dryer towel
4. No Claying was needed. car was very smooth to the touch
5. menz SIP and Lake Country light cutting pad to remove swirls
6. Blackfire Midnight Sun Paste wax for LSP
7. Tyres - Turtle Tyre Gel

Looks amazing, I'm dying to get my hands on a black car.

How do you find the endurance of the Turtle tyre gel? Everything I'm trying doesn't seem to last that long.

@Stax. I have found many of the trim dressings to work better (ie last longer) is the rubber is properly cleaned prior to application. A semi stiff brush with some APC or Super Degreaser usually works well for me!

I've experienced the same. I'm using Adams APC to clean first with quite a bit of scrubbing and apply when tyre is dry.

@Stax... the other guys pretty much explained it well. I also tend to work the Gel into the tyre as much as possible using a Tyre Applicator Sponge. So about half way through my Detail I do the tyres then at the end I give it another rub.
