Lambchop Vs "Pepe" The Silver Bullet - Lambchop - 19-11-2011 04:43 PM

A mate of mine from work asked me yesterday if we could clean his Mini Cooper S
So all work was done my hand no polishers etc YES folks I can still detail cars by hand !!

I could'nt do to much due to my shoulder. So had to direct my Padawan learner Big Grin

To say this car normally gets washed by the Local car wash the Paint wasnt bad at all
Didnt have the usual swirlmarks for some reason

However the black gloss bits were pretty damaged

Here is a before and after of the gloss pillar - Super resin Polish was used to mask the defects

After

The car was pretty contaminated as you can see by the clay

Nice work bud, car looks fresh. Which product/s did you use for the zorst? Came out really nice, reason I ask is because I use autosol, but has finally come to an end and wanna know what to get next? I almost thought those were matt black rims in the opening pics Bluebiggrin

Very very nice! Bluebiggrin

What is the reason behind not using any machines? Or is it simply the fact that there was almost no paint correction that needed to be done?

Sup Lads

Thanks for the compliments

I used Autoglym metal polish on the tail pipes

I didn't do a correction as I disclocated my shoulder 2 weeks ago and it's still pretty messed up and need to go for an op in Jan. My mate did most of the work I just assisted where I could. And obviousy I directed him and told him what to do etc

@Audio. The "matt black" rims were the reason the car got a make over Bluebiggrin

Nice work

Good to see some action from your side Nic - even it is mostly from the "Director's" chair. I echo Springbok's comments - excellent work on the pipes.

Thanks Woodie - I was well impressed with the pipes myself

Very sorry to hear about your shoulder, hopefully the operation in January gets you back to 100%!

Nic with a dodgy shoulder and talk of an assisted handjob in the same thread conjures up images I don't want to deal with this early in the morning.
