First Detail Pics: Porsche 911 Carrera and Ford Fiesta
Hi All

So these are my first detail pics not many, my problem has always been time and my camera phone. I have however invested in a new 14.1 mega pixel camera and from here on in pics will be taken with that. I do however have to put up some more pics of other jobs and the issue is always the time restraint so i start taking pics but never have the end result.

Anyways here goes, first up a Porsche 911 Carrera. Owner called me two days before the concourse and needed the car looking in top shape. As the car was fairly new and ain a decent nick i opted for a G220.

Products Used.
Megs Wheel Brightener
Megs Hyper Wash
Meg Mild Clay
M105 Compound on a red Cutting pad
Megs Hi tech yellow wax
Last Touch
Megs All season dressing

No Before pics just a few afters

I then took one a Ford Fiesta and just having received my werkstat kit, i decided to put it to use.

Used Megs Wheel Brightener and Hyper wash
All season dressing and the werkstat kit

Hopefully my next work will have more pics. Btw the weather was really bad on the day of the fiesta

Thanks for looking

RE: First Detail Pics: Porsche 911 Carrera and Ford Fiesta
I have actually since done another 4 white cars. the old 528, a e46 M3 and a M135. prob is i dont have any after pics as i get so involved and with time restraints i dont end up getting the pics. I guess pratice makes perfect. Should put up some more work in the next few days.

P.S can somebody explain the purpose of vertua bond? also any comparisons on revive glaze vs ez creme glaze

Nice work.
Vertua bond is supposed to prep paint for sealants. Generally they dont like the oily glazed base too much. Wax on the other hand prefers a glazed finish underneath.

Nice work and good to see you posting.

Just one question on the Porsche process though. I notice you went from M105 + cutting pad directly to LSP, which is surprising. I would expect at least some minor marring from this combination requiring a refining polish such as M205 to get it ready for LSP. Any comments on this?

Clap YAY, good work man. I also battle to remember to take pics when detailing, often have befores and no afters or vice versa, as you said, we need practice and focus.

Well done, more pics of more details when possible.

Your views o Werkstadt trio, I am wanting to purchase a kit this week, do you see a big difference on the white cars, compared to other LSPs???

Correct i neglected to put in.
M83 i think, Megs DA cleaner polish. Used with Yellow Megs polishing pad.

IMHOIono as Carn would put it.
The Werkstat kit (trio) seems to leave a Glaze/gleaming finish if you know what i mean. This finish is not always apparent on the pics.
The guy with the M135 told me that he is fussy and the car never gleamed like that when he got it.

Although i like to add a layer of paste wax such as 5050 chemical guys after the trigger but before the gloss.

Shot guys
