ENGINE BAY CLEAN UP
My E46 320 Individual, being my daily drive was in much need of an engine bay clean up as I work in the Port area and since getting the car 6 years ago, I've not bothered to clean the engine bay. She was in quiet a sad state as you can see from these pictures.

I took the car for a short drive to warm her up (recommended in some or other thread I read on another website which I can no longer recall) and then got back and let her cool for about 15 minutes. I then gave the engine bay a slight rinse with a fine / mist spray. Thereafter, using a soft paint brush and a strong solution of Shield APC "scrubbed" down all the areas that I could get to. I let the Shield APC stand for about 15 minutes and then rinsed off with a shower type setting. Afterwards I dried off most areas with a chamois and left to air dry further. Once the engine bay was completely dry, I gave it a light dressing with CG Fade to Black and wiped off with a clean microfibre cloth. Total work time approximately 2,5 hours. Results.....

I have since found out that the engine bay must not be warm when doing this as it increases the risk of damage (Thanks Calypso).

Thanks for looking.

RE: ENGINE BAY CLEAN UP
Nice work Prevan, I have found compressed air helps reduce "drying" time and rids moisture from the electronics before I dress the engine bay.

Thanks Delta. I unfortunately don't have access to a compressor to assist with drying.
