Jaguar XF - done by Vincent
Hi everyone,

so my 1st weekend of doing a really long and detailed wash n wax has come and gone. and I can def say I feel so much better sitting here this morning than all my previous Mondays. Not so sore and stiff.

I just recently purchased the Werkstat Acryllic Kit from David (Carn) and was really eagerly waiting to see how it performs on this stunning white Jaguar XF. Man what a car. Gorgeous and so stylish.

I have read so many good things about Werkstat Acryllic on White cars so I was really excited to see how this would turn out.

I gave the car a really intensive wash with a combo of Meguiars Hyper Wash and Meguiars APC. There was a fair amount of Industrial fallout which I tackled with Meguiars Clay bar and M34 Final Inspection as lubricant.

The 20 inch wheels were done with the Daytona Speed master brush and Meguiars APC.

This car had a fair shair of light swirls so I didnt go all out agressive on paint correction. I gave it a really good long Polish with Menzerna Final Finish on a Meguiars Soft Buff 2.0 yellow Pad. This sorted the Fine Scratched and Swirls out nicely.

Then the next step was the Werkstat Prime. I applied this with the Meguiars G220 D/A and a Meguiars Soft Buff 2.0 Black pad.
Then my next step was to go with a Microfibre applicator pad that came with the kit and Werkstat Jett. I worked it over the hazed Prime. This was a good arm workout around a large car.
Gave it 30 mins and then went around for a 2nd layer. Now I could see the shine really starting to appear from the Werkstat.
I gave it a 3rd layer and I could def see what all the hyoe around Werkstat was about.

I hope the pics convey just how awsome Werkstat works.

Befores.

One of the nicer new Jag's IMO...Although the grill is a right PITA to clean and polish Bluebiggrin

Nicely done Vincent, I am glad you got off to a good start with the Werkstat kit and by the looks of things it didn't disappoint Thumb

I only notice the grill now... which leads me to my question. My car has honeycomb grill thing at the bottom in front. Also quite nasty to clean. Hints/tips?

I typically clean them with a brush and APC. For dressing either use an aerosol based dressing like CG's Fade 2 Black, or apply your usual dressing with a semi stiff brush and then wipe down with a MF towel Thumb
