Toyota Fortuner
Seeing as the site is a bit quiet I decided to post this.....yes, it's another farm vehicle(and the last hopefully).

At the same time that I did the Hilux I did this. It arrived a lump of mud and dust and left the next day a bit cleaner.

I started with the usual "massive cleandown" of the interior as it has become the usual with farm vehicles. Using a diluted mix of APC and the normal variety of brushes and clothes I set to work trying to get all the dirt out of the cream/tan leather, not the best choice of colour for a farm car if you ask me. Then the seat backs and side panels were full of scuff marks from unruley children, those were tough work and I managed to remove some and reduce others. Dash and door panels were so dusty that it needed many passes with brushes and cloths to ensure that all the dust was gone. Marks in the carpet were scrubbed out using the same APC mix. Seats were then treated to two coats of Colli 855 and interior black plastics got some 303 Aero.

More interior befores and afters(just a wash).

Then moved on to the exterior which was just as bad.
Car was pressure washed down to remove larger bits of debris then foamed with Maxi Suds II and APC. Wash was done with APC and Megs Gold Class Shampoo. The front bumper was full of dead bugs that had been baked on in the Underberg summer heat and as a result they were difficult to remove but after being left to soak in foam they were easier.
Wheel arches were scrubbed along with the tyres using undiluted APC and hard bristle brushes. Even the towbar got a scrubdown.

After the car had time to dry completely and I had time to get some lunch(and beer) down my gullet, the correction process began.
Using Menz SIP on the LC Orange pad for the paint work and finishing on the chrome painted bits with the white pad brought out the desired results(orange pad left swirling on the chrome). Certain damaged areas of the rear bumper were left alone as to not destroy my pads. I was going to do those bits by hand but ran out of time. Eventually the fading light brought and end to my day and was to be resumed early the next morning.

Post polishing:

So bright and early I began with laying down the first coat of CG Extreme Top Coat Sealant of which two were going to be used. Whilst that cured I coated the, now clean, tyres with Megs trim detailer(as with the Hilux) along with all the exterior trim. I stayed away from anything doesn't dry to make sure dust did not cling to it whilst on the dirt roads. The chrome nudgebar got a light polishing by hand with a bit of Silvo silver polish(worked well) and wheels got a coat of CG ETC sealant too.
I was still touching up when the customer arrived to collect as it was needed by late morning.

Ending shots.

All in all happy with the results but as always I wish I could have done more in certain areas, especially on the interior.
Scenery wasn't bad to work in either.

Nice going Stax, the car looks a lot better now. Really impressed by your effort in lifting the dirt in the interior.

RE: Toyota Fortuner
Thanks but it felt like blasting rather than lifting, it was really stubborn. As you can see I didn't get it all.

For sure, that's a lot of dirty surfaces to tackle. Hope they rewarded you very handsomely!
