As many of you who visit here regularly would know, I am often referred to as a Meguiars slvt. Unlike many who would see this as an insult, I wear it as a badge of honour Bluebiggrin.

Not being a person who likes resting on my laurels, I have thought about how I could elevate this status from mere slvt to outright wh**e. The best idea I could come up with was to undertake a trip to the Meguiars head office in Irvine, California to attend a Saturday detailing class.

So, come 19th August, I will be boarding a flight to Houston via London. From Houston I will switch to a local carrier and fly to John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, which is less than 5 miles from the Meguiars office and across the road from my hotel accommodation. Flying all that way for a one day class didn't seem worth it, so I will be staying on for a week to do some sightseeing. Some of the activities/sights lined up for the week:

Los Angeles (incl. Hollywood, Sunset Boulevard, Universal Studios)
San Diego
Disneyland
Beach communities (Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Venice Beach)
MLB game between Anaheim Angels and Tampa Bay Rays

The rest of the time will be spent driving around SoCal taking in as much of the scenery as possible. If possible I'll update with some posts while I'm over there, otherwise a full update will follow upon my return.

Fitting you into my luggage going over shouldn't be a problem as my case will be practically empty. Bringing you back may be a challenge as the case will not be remaining empty. Bluebiggrin

Wow!! I thought I was being bullish flying up yo Jo'burg for a Megs Detailing Day a couple of years ago....but flying all the way to the States is sick.

Are you going solo or is the family accompanying you?

Going solo this time - so I foresee much activity and little to no sleep. I'm going to be useless back at work for the first couple of days.
