Calypso we use the Sonax polymer dewaxer which is a spray on product that removes any and all waxes, etc from the surface. Some car wash soaps (CG Citrus I think is one of them) when used with in a highly concentrated solution will also strip all waxes, etc from the paint. IPA wipedown as Don mentioned would be usefull however it is not economical or as easy as simply using an off the shelf dewaxer. IPA is usually used for a final wipedown after polishing to remove oils, etc and to make sure the paint is perfectly clean for your sealant or wax to bond to
As for the wetsanding there is not really much to it and neither Myself or Rustbucket could claim to be experts at it
I will compose a short write up of what I usually do (I have done this on a few occasions on both customers as well as my own cars) but it will be strictly USE AT OWN RISK !
