I've gathered all I could to build one: a dead hair dryer, a 5 watt LED bulb and a base
I was advised by a friend to use the LED bulbs instead of the halogen bulb. more light, longer durability and less heat.

my photography skills not fine tuned and it's the camera phone, it doesn't capture all that we see.
Still the difference is evident.
