My 1st try with the home made sun gun was in the early dawn (everybody else sleeping
)I washed n clayed the boot lid of my uncle's Honda Civic. Note the moist, it was difficult to see the swirls under the fluorescent tubes. With the Led, it was clear.

I set to work then.
in the shade, the compounded section was superb but in the sun, the holograms were obvious.
I didn't have to polish it after. The car was sold.

If you are trying to build one, try compare a 10 watt LEd bulb with a 5 watt.
