Ultimate Shine - BMW M3 CSL
#1
Hey everyone,

Saturday morning I was off to Mike Nathan to do his M3 for him. The car had been at a Car Show in a Shopping centre and as you know people cant seem to keep their hands off. Even an Ice Cream was dropped on the car. what next.

The car was nice and clean when I got there I got straight into Polishing.

Step 1 : Menzerna SIP together with 3M Green Pad and the Makita Rotary.
2 Passes on Speed 2 to spread and begin working the polish.
2 Passes on Speed 3 to Cut out Swirls and defects
Back down to speed 2 for a few passes with left over Polish Rouge
and back down to speed 1 for Burnishing / Glossing

Step 2 : Meguiars M205 Ultra Finishing polish together with 3M yellow Polishing pad.
3 Passes on Speed 2 and 2.5 and back to 2.
Def comparable to Menz Final Finish. Very nice product to work with and gives really excellent results.

Step 3 : Blackfire Midnight Sun paste Wax. applied by hand then Spread and worked thin with Meguiars G220 and Black Finishing Pad. Allowed 15 mins to cure then buffed off with buffing cloth.

And here we have the pics

Thanks for the thread.

Interesting methodology for the LSP; Applied by hand and then spread via G220. Do you always use this method?

Hi Vincent.

Thanks for the info on your methods. I notice you are using the paste wax and not the sealant at the moment. Was that on customers request?

Springbok.... I just find that the G220 spreads the Wax evenly and nice and thin. Buffs off easier this way for me. I also tend to struggle with this white haze with waxes that I struggle to wipe of nicely. So i found that when i use the G220 i dont get this problem.

Rayner... I am waiting on Stock of Sealant... Nobody has that I can buy. So am pretty much forced to use the paste Wax for now.
