During the latter half of last year we kicked of the Car Care Detailing classes, which are scheduled to be held on a regular basis going forward. The intention of running the detailing classes is to provide our new and existing users with the opportunity to learn more about the best way to care for their cars. As many of us have discovered, detailing is an addictive pastime. Many of us have expressed the desire to learn more of the advanced processes and techniques, and to this end we will be hosting our first Advanced Detailing Classes during 2011.
The intention is to run 2 Advanced classes this year - one in July and one in October. The course content is still being finalised at this stage, but I can confirm that we will cover topics such as rotary polishing and wet sanding. The advanced techniques are mastered via practice and not through theory. The Advanced class will therefore have a greater bias towards practical sessions and less theory than we currently have in our standard Saturday Care Care 101 classes.
Due to the greater emphasis on practical application, we are limiting the class size to 8 to allow greater one on one attention and to ensure that each person gets sufficient time to experience the various techniques first hand. As we are only running 2 classes for 2011, this translates into 16 available slots for the year. We will therefore be changing the sign up process slightly. The sign up period will close approximately 1 week before the date of the class and all those who have signed up will go into a draw, with the 8 attendees being randomly selected from the list. Preference will also be given to those who have attended the Saturday Car Care 101 Classes.
